Beyond today, there is a new life waiting.  I  think of Robert Frost and “The Road Not Taken”.

Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.

Because life has phases.  Some of them are slow and steady.  Others are wild and crazy.  And the in betweens, the transitions, they are the strangest of all.  One foot in two worlds.  Living in one, with your head in another.  And I wonder what we will remember of our lives today.  Will we look back with a sigh or a smile?  It’s impossible to know.

Today, I will enjoy the day.  I will work, and hug my children, and pour a bit of myself on paper, and plan and prepare and pray and wait.  Because Beyond isn’t here yet.  Today is.

Joining again today with Lisa-Jo for Five Minute Friday. Our challenge is to write for 5 minutes flat on the prompt: “Beyond” with no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.

Beyond isnt here yet. Today is. It is so difficult to remember that and act upon it. But thankfully God gives us the grace and gently teaches us that. thank you for your reminder.God Bless

Amen and amen! It’s a discipline to be in the moment and not try to look beyond. God bless your Now.
